Director of the Child Development FoundationLusine Simonyan is an experienced NGO leader and a child protection specialist with more than 20 years of professional experience in local and international organizations, implementing programs aimed at improving Armenia’s social and child protection systems.
Since October 2010, Lusine has been serving as the Director of the Child Development Foundation (CDF) and ZarMan Social Enterprise, providing strategic leadership for the organization. She oversees the development and implementation of strategies that advance the Foundation’s mission — to promote comprehensive child development and strengthen the social protection of children and families in Armenia.
Thanks to consistent growth and long-term commitment, the Foundation has expanded its reach, ensuring that quality professional services are accessible to children and families across Armenia. Today, the Foundation operates seven Child Development Centers in collaboration with communities in five regions and Yerevan.
Her professional responsibilities include designing and effectively implementing programs in the fields of child protection, child well-being, social protection, community development, and human capital development. Lusine plays an important role in enhancing social cooperation at the national, regional, and community levels, actively contributing to national commissions and expert groups.
In 2023–2024, she studied in the United States under the U.S. Department of State’s Humphrey Fellowship Program, focusing on public policy development in the areas of social protection and child development.
As a Member of the Board of the Child Protection Network (CPN), Lusine is committed to continuing her work with dedication and expertise to strengthen and advance the systems that ensure child rights protection and well-being in Armenia.
