“Strong Civil Society for Empowered Child Protection” Program

Since December 1, 2024, the Child Protection Network (CPN) has been implementing the program “Strong Civil Society for Empowered Child Protection.”
The program is led by World Vision Germany and World Vision Armenia, in cooperation with the Child Protection Network NGO, the Armenian Association of Social Workers (AASW), the Armavir Development Center NGO, and the Tahayus Socio-Educational NGO.
It is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and World Vision Germany.

Given the current social, economic, and political developments in Armenia, ensuring access to social protection has become a key priority. The availability and accessibility of high-quality social services for all authorized beneficiaries are essential for improving the system, particularly for vulnerable children in Armenia.

The program aims to support the improvement of the child protection system by building on:

  • the professional experience of World Vision Armenia,

  • the advocacy capacity of the Child Protection Network, through its broad membership of active local civil society organizations, and

  • the expertise of partner organizations directly engaged in delivering social services in communities.

The overall goal of the program is to ensure that children in Armenia—especially those from vulnerable groups—live in a safe, secure, and fulfilling environment through an effective and shock-responsive child protection system.

The program seeks to ensure access to needs-based, quality, and responsive social services for at least 1,000 vulnerable children and their families in the regions of Tavush, Gegharkunik, and Armavir, and to contribute to the creation of appropriate conditions for social service provision for vulnerable children at the national level.
