Roman Harutyunyan has nearly two decades of professional experience in the fields of education and social work. He graduated from the Faculty of General Psychology at Yerevan State University (YSU) in 2003, earned his degree in Social Work from the Faculty of Sociology (distance education) in 2005, and completed his Master’s degree in Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology in 2010.

Roman began his professional career in 2001 with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) as a social worker. Since 2004, he has been working with World Vision Armenia, holding several key positions over the years. During his tenure, he has led numerous national and international initiatives focused on child protection, education, and community development.

Currently, he manages the EU-funded program “Youth in Action: Promoting Youth Empowerment and Leadership” and coordinates the operation of five World Vision Armenia Day Care Services across the Lori, Tavush, Gegharkunik, Syunik, and Aragatsotn regions.

From 2005 to 2014, Roman Harutyunyan was an active member of the Child Protection Network (CPN) and now serves as a Member of the CPN Board. He continues to contribute to the advancement of child protection in Armenia through active participation in working groups, public awareness initiatives, and advocacy efforts.
