Elen Harutyunyan holds a degree in Social Work and Social Technologies from the Faculty of Sociology at Yerevan State University. She began her professional career as a social worker at the FAR Children Support Foundation  FAR (CSCF) , working in a child poverty prevention program.

Over the years, she has been involved in various programs as an expert in the development of methodological manuals and guidelines, as well as a trainer and supervisor. As an expert-trainer, she has contributed to the capacity-building of foster parents, community social workers, case managers, civil society representatives, and other professionals in the child protection field.

Elen is a full member of the Armenian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and actively participates in its programs and initiatives.

Since 2012, Elen has been engaged in the work of the Child Protection Network — first as an assistant, then as a communications officer, coordinator, and advocacy specialist. Since September 2021, she has been serving as the Executive Director of the Network.

She strongly believes that through the collaboration and joint efforts of structures working in the field of child protection, it is possible to achieve visible and comprehensive change.
