Discussion with field professionals on improving the protection system for children affected by violence

The Child Protection Network participated in a professional discussion organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and UNICEF, dedicated to one of the key regulatory frameworks of the child protection system for children affected by violence.

The discussion focused on the draft Government decision of the Republic of Armenia, which defined:
▪ the mechanisms for identifying children affected by violence,
▪ the referral process to relevant authorities,
▪ the types and procedures of support provided.

Participants shared their observations regarding the draft regulation, highlighting existing gaps and practical implementation challenges, while also proposing possible improvements. The practical part of the discussion included simulation exercises aimed at assessing how the regulation could function in real-life situations.

Preventing and addressing violence against children remained one of our strategic priorities. Such professional platforms were essential for ensuring the effectiveness of developing policies.
